The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) of the State of Qatar has organized a Planning Forum for 2026, bringing together supervisory leaders and employees from various sectors within the Ministry.

The Planning Forum for 2026 aims to strengthen coordination among all departments, enhance institutional planning processes, foster collaboration across sectors, and support the effective and timely implementation of the Ministry’s strategic objectives and priority initiatives.

Held over three-days, the Planning Forum for 2026 aimed to strengthen the culture of institutional planning and enhance the readiness of the Ministry’s units to effectively implement the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030, as well as Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s own strategic framework for the same period.

The Ministry stated that the planning forum for 2026 reflects its firm commitment to aligning operational plans with national objectives, unifying vision across departments and sectors, and ensuring the coordinated and integrated implementation of priority initiatives and projects for 2026.

In his opening remarks at the Planning Forum for 2026, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, HE Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki, emphasized that the year 2025 marked a pivotal milestone for the Ministry. During this period, the Ministry achieved a series of significant accomplishments that not only contributed to enhancing the business environment but also played a crucial role in advancing the quality and efficiency of services across various sectors.

Al Malki stated that these achievements were instrumental in boosting the State’s overall investment attractiveness, positioning Qatar as a more competitive and dynamic player on the global economic stage. He acknowledged the collective efforts of the Ministry’s teams and highlighted the importance of ongoing collaboration and integration among all sectors to build on these successes and drive future progress.

The Undersecretary commended the dedication of the Ministry’s work teams and the high level of integration and coordination among its various sectors, noting that these collective efforts were instrumental in delivering positive outcomes and in establishing a strong and solid foundation for the effective launch and implementation of the Ministry’s 2026 plan.
