One of the largest business incubators in the Middle East, Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) has launched the third wave of the Lean Manufacturing Program (LMP) to develop the manufacturing capabilities of local emerging companies.
With this program QBIC, founded by Qatar Development Bank (QDB), targets to create manufacturing projects in Qatar to support national and local industries. The participants in LMP are projected to receive six weeks of training on the most important aspects of plant operation and product development.
LMP aims to train the participants to develop their ideas leveraging the advice of local and international experts and partners. Through the program, participating entrepreneurs can also gain a thorough knowledge of the holistic manufacturing process through a series of practical sessions based on the lean methodology.
Towards concluding the program, participants will be able to present their achievements to a specialized committee and potentially receive financing, a dedicated workshop space, and ongoing coaching.

The third wave of the program received a large number of applications from ambitious and promising projects and companies, and some 15 companies were selected for the program to receive education, training, and development.
QBIC offers a variety of programs to support entrepreneurship in Qatar, which include all stages and types of companies, such as the Lean Acceleration Program, ending this month.
