Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), a unique mixed-use business incubation center and an affiliate of Qatar Development Bank (QDB), has commenced the registration for the fifth wave of its ‘Lean Acceleration Program’ (LAP).

LAP is designed to enhance the growth of companies with high potential and sizable customer bases and improve their ability to attract local and international investments through mentorship and support.

The fifth edition of LAP builds on the successes of its precursors, which have to date graduated more than 200 companies that have contributed to the development of the Qatari market and to the most anticipated global event, the FIFA World Cup 2022.

LAP aims to expand existing businesses, stimulate their sales and marketing, and develop their products and services to reach wider customer segments. This is carried out through the program’s main services that include training entrepreneurs to reach local, regional, and global customers in the public and private sectors, find administrative and technical talents, and equipping entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge and tools that allow them to attract smart financing, in addition to offering them with impactful guidance throughout the program’s duration.

The program concludes with a special demo day in which the best-performing companies present their work to the most prominent investors and capital owners from Qatar and beyond, with the aim of getting investments that contribute to their growth and market reach.

In order to enroll in the program, the candidates must need Minimum Viable Product/Service (MVP), ongoing monthly revenue, a full-time co-founder, experience in using the business model, and the ability to fully commit to the 14-week program.

QBIC invites aspiring entrepreneurs to register for the fifth wave of LAP through the incubator’s website and the registration will close on February 20, 2022.

To support the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Qatar, QBIC offers a number of programs that cover all stages of a company’s growth, such as the Lean Manufacturing Program. Further, it offers several specialized programs to promote economic diversification and develop the skills of entrepreneurs in the country, including the Lean Coach Program.
