Qiddiya Investment Company and Google Cloud have announced a major expansion of their strategic collaboration to establish the digital infrastructure powering Qiddiya City, one of the world’s largest entertainment and tourism developments.
Working alongside strategic systems integrator Master Works, Qiddiya will deploy advanced Google Cloud technologies to support the operations and long-term expansion of the massive entertainment destination, which spans approximately 360 square kilometers.
The partnership marks another major milestone in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to diversify the kingdom’s economy through investments in tourism, entertainment, technology, and innovation.
Smart city vision takes shape
Qiddiya City is rapidly emerging as one of Saudi Arabia’s flagship giga-projects, integrating theme parks, gaming districts, sports venues, arts destinations, and residential communities into a unified smart entertainment ecosystem.
While flagship attractions including Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia have already opened to the public, the broader development across more than 20 neighborhoods continues to expand at scale.
Under the enhanced partnership, Google Cloud’s advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities will serve as the digital backbone supporting construction management, visitor operations, and real-time citywide decision-making.
The platform will provide instant insights into visitor demand, operational efficiency, crowd movement, and construction progress, enabling Qiddiya to operate as a highly responsive smart city. The system is expected to significantly reduce operational analysis timelines from weeks to minutes.
Abdulrahman Alali, Chief Technology Officer of Qiddiya Investment Company, said that, “Our goal is a seamless digital experience that connects Qiddiya City with our growing nationwide entertainment portfolio. By combining Google Cloud’s technology with MasterWorks’ integration expertise, we are establishing a robust, data-driven foundation that turns a massive project into a manageable, intelligent reality for both our operators and visitors.”

The collaboration is built around three core technological pillars designed to support Qiddiya’s long-term digital ambitions.
- The first pillar is an AI Factory powered by the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The system will be used to develop and scale custom AI frameworks capable of analyzing visitor behavior, spending habits, and movement patterns to deliver highly personalized entertainment experiences and predictive crowd management capabilities.
- The second pillar centers on Agentic AI through Q-Brain, Qiddiya’s proprietary AI platform powered by Gemini models. The platform is designed to function as an operational intelligence system that supports leadership teams and staff with real-time insights, autonomous task execution, and faster decision-making across the destination.
- The third pillar is a Unified Data Platform built on BigQuery, which will act as the central digital infrastructure consolidating operational data from all Qiddiya entertainment assets into a single integrated ecosystem.
Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, Managing Director of Google Cloud Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey, stated that, “By integrating Google Cloud’s global-scale infrastructure and cutting-edge AI into its operations, Qiddiya is building a foundation that turns massive data into actionable intelligence. Our fully integrated AI stack provides the innovation necessary to power a premier user experience, ensuring that every facet of this massive-scale project is digitally optimized to meet the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030.”
