Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a cooperation agreement with Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) to enhance regulatory integration and support the implementation of Law No. (4) of 2021 Regulating Roads in Dubai.
The agreement aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision to improve road safety, enhance service standards across the road network, and ensure that development projects are delivered in accordance with approved regulatory requirements and the highest quality standards.
The agreement was signed by Hussain Al Banna, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency at RTA, and Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer, Parks & Zones, DP World GCC, representing JAFZA.
Under the agreement, the two entities will work to strengthen coordination in road sector planning and regulation, support infrastructure development, and promote compliance with approved standards governing roads and associated facilities across Dubai.

This agreement underscores the importance of close collaboration between RTA and its strategic partners, including developers, to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of road infrastructure across the emirate. It also supports the sustained management and operation of road rights-of-way, associated facilities and pavements in line with approved best practices.”
