Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA), King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) will participate under the Saudi pavilion at the 2025 BIO International Convention, the world’s largest event in the field of biotechnology.
This marks the first unified national presence of Saudi Arabia’s biotechnology ecosystem at the 2025 BIO International Convention, signaling a significant step forward for the Kingdom as it emerges as a global player in the biotechnology sector.
Further, the participation aligns with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Biotechnology Strategy, showcasing the country’s growing influence and commitment to advancing innovation on the world stage.
During its participation, KAIMRC will showcase a range of national achievements and pioneering initiatives. The Saudi pavilion at 2025 BIO International Convention will feature a dedicated space for meetings aimed at building partnerships with global biotechnology firms and exploring opportunities in research, development, and biomanufacturing.
The pavilion at BIO International Conventionwill host five key sessions as part of the ‘Spotlight Sessions’ and the ‘Super Session,’ the most prominent of which is the Super Session titled Partnering for Progress: Exploring Innovation and Opportunities in Biotechnology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The session will feature Professor Dr. Bandar bin Abdulmohsen Al-Knawy, alongside a distinguished group of leaders in health, investment, and scientific research.
KAIMRC will deliver high-level presentations during the corporate sessions, covering topics such as advancing biotechnology innovation through health sciences and research, the Saudi Biobank and Saudi Vision 2030, and the National Biotechnology Strategy’s vision for the biotechnology sector.
In addition to the scientific sessions, the Ministry of Health, through its official participation, will launch an accelerator program dedicated to biotechnology startups. It will also organize a high-level reception bringing together leading investors, experts, and industry leaders from around the world to foster dialogue and explore opportunities for collaboration with the Kingdom.
This participation reflects the Kingdom’s strong commitment to building an integrated environment for research and development, supported by advanced digital infrastructure, a flexible regulatory framework, and national and international institutional partnerships.
Through this engagement, KAIMRC and KSAU-HS aim to facilitate knowledge transfer, localize biotechnological industries, and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for life sciences and biotechnology.
