The Saudi Export-Import Bank (Saudi EXIM) has signed four strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with key African and international institutions, marking a significant step in advancing Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports across the African continent.

The agreements were formalized with Africa50, the Ghana Export-Import Bank, Blend International Ltd, and the Republic of Guinea’s Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. These MoUs aim to enhance cooperation and streamline the entry of Saudi non-oil products into African markets, aligning with the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy.

The signings took place on the sidelines of the African Development Bank Group’s Annual Meetings, being held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from May 26 to 30. A high-level delegation from Saudi EXIM, led by Chief Executive Eng. Saad Alkhalb, is participating in the event.

The bank’s participation intends to strengthen cooperation with African financial institutions and expand strategic partnerships to support Saudi Arabia’s non-oil export sector.

Eng. Alkhalb emphasized that Saudi EXIM’s participation reflects its commitment to building international trade and credit partnerships that empower Saudi exporters and enhance economic cooperation with Africa. The CEO further noted that the meetings offer a valuable platform to engage with export credit agencies and financial institutions across the continent.

Last week, the Saudi EXIM Bank signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the State Unitary Enterprise Industrial and Export Bank of Tajikistan and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).

The agreements aim to expand strategic cooperation and enhance access for Saudi non-oil exports to promising international markets and it was signed during the 2025 Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings held in Algeria.
