The Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) has organized its ‘From Riyadh to the World’ initiative in New York City.
This global outreach program aims to showcase Saudi Arabia’s advancements in internal auditing and foster international collaboration through dialogue, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships.
Furthermore, ‘From Riyadh to the World’ initiative intends to share Saudi Arabia’s regulatory experiences globally, promote best professional practices aligned with international standards, exchange expertise, and highlight innovative Saudi efforts in the field of internal auditing.
According to the reports, the initiative involves a series of events in various countries, including the United States, China, Canada, Switzerland, Russia, Australia, and Austria, to share best practices and foster international collaboration in the field of internal auditing.
The ‘From Riyadh to the World’ initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing its global presence in internal auditing and contributing to the advancement of the profession worldwide.
The Saudi delegation from IIA, led by CEO and board member Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Shebeili, met with the executive management of the New York Institute of Internal Auditors, along with several CEOs from Saudi government agencies and major U.S. companies, to discuss successful Saudi experiences.
The initiative underscored the role of internal auditing in strengthening governance and sustainability. It addressed components of effective governance systems, the activation of internal controls to meet strategic goals, and how auditing adds value and supports institutional governance.
The event also highlighted the achievements of IIA Saudi Arabia in exporting Saudi professional talent globally, reflecting the Kingdom’s leadership in the auditing sector.
