Saudi Tourism Authority concludes record participation at WTM 2025

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and 71 partners from across its tourism ecosystem, has concluded its participation in the World Travel Market 2025 (WTM) with remarkable success and record participation.

During the event, more than 30 memoranda of understanding were signed with leading global brands to enhance cooperation, boost investment, and drive growth in the tourism sector. Its participation aimed to promote the Kingdom’s diverse destinations and growing calendar of international events, reinforcing its status as one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism markets.

The Saudi Tourism Authority ‘s pavilion at WTM 2025 attracted more than 15,000 visitors, who explored a rich array of immersive cultural, heritage, and tourism experiences showcasing the Kingdom’s diverse offerings.

Saudi destinations also received multiple prestigious honors: Diriyah was recognized for providing the most authentic cultural experience, Qiddiya was commended for its remarkable operational performance, and Madinah earned the top overall award for excellence in presentation, culture, and operations, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s growing prominence in global tourism.

Chief of Partnerships and Executive Affairs Abdullah Al-Haqbani stated that these strong results build on last year’s record of 116 million visitors and 60.9 million in the first half of 2025. He added that the newly signed agreements will further deepen international partnerships, attract global investment, and drive sustained growth in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding tourism sector.

He noted that the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) will host the Saudi Tourism Forum next week in Riyadh, which will bring together more than 1,000 global leaders from government, business, and technology sectors. The event aims to address industry challenges, attract new investments, and promote the development of a sustainable and innovative global tourism ecosystem.
