The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has strengthened its technical preparedness to support the smooth departure of pilgrims after the completion of the 1447 AH Hajj season.
The authority enhanced the technical readiness of land, sea, and air ports and provided comprehensive support to ensure smooth departure procedures for pilgrims. It also delivered technology-driven services aimed at improving efficiency and facilitating their travel journey.
SDAIA’s engineering teams conducted periodic tests of communication circuits across multiple technologies and carried out preventive maintenance on technical components. These measures helped ensure that pilgrims’ departure procedures were carried out efficiently and without disruption.
The efforts highlight its ongoing role in leveraging data and artificial intelligence (AI) to support the Hajj ecosystem in coordination with relevant government entities.
They also contribute to improving operational efficiency and strengthening technical services at ports, enabling pilgrims to complete their journey home smoothly and with greater ease and comfort.
SDAIA’s advanced digital support for Hajj operations
According to the reports, “As part of this year’s enhanced preparations, SDAIA expanded its services to 75 operational sites across the holy sites, alongside 14 dedicated screening sites and security control centers. This extensive deployment ensures seamless coordination, high operational readiness, and continuous technical support during one of the world’s largest annual mass gatherings.”
The latest initiatives form part of SDAIA’s broader strategy to develop an integrated digital ecosystem powered by data and artificial intelligence technologies.
By leveraging AI-driven solutions, SDAIA aims to enhance the efficiency of operational workflows, improve service delivery to pilgrims, and ensure higher levels of technical preparedness across the holy sites and associated entry points, as per the reports.
