The SPA Academy for News Training will hold a series of virtual introductory meetings with private-sector entities across several vital sectors on March 4 and 5, 2026, as part of its efforts to strengthen collaboration and advance specialized media human capital development initiatives.
The meetings aim to introduce the initiative to develop specialized media human capital, highlight sector-specific training programs, and explore strategic partnership opportunities to train professionals and strengthen national competencies across key industries.
The sessions at SPA Academy will target private-sector establishments in media, health, financial services, industry, tourism, agriculture, real estate, transport, and logistics. Directors and senior representatives from human resources, corporate communications, and training departments are expected to participate.
The meetings are designed to strengthen integration between training institutions and the labor market, enabling media professionals to gain practical experience and work effectively in specialized environments across diverse sectors.
The agenda will include a detailed review of specialized media qualification pathways and guidance on leveraging the Graduate Empowerment Program for media jobs, supported by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). It will also highlight opportunities for collaboration with private-sector entities to develop sector-specific training programs, helping prepare qualified media cadres capable of supporting specialized media transformation.
These sessions form part of the SPA Academy’s broader strategy to build robust partnerships with the private sector, expand initiatives for developing media human capital, and enhance graduates’ readiness to work in professional and specialized environments, aligning with national capacity-building objectives.
