SPC Free Zone Director Salim Omar Salim joins World FZO Board

Mr. Salim Omar Salim, the Director of Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPC Free Zone), has been appointed as a Board Member of the World Free Zones Organization (World FZO).

SPC Free Zone has been a voting member of World FZO since 2019 and has benefited from a variety of services available to members, such as high-level training, and strategic networking opportunities with peers, professionals, service providers, policymakers, industry research, operational and administrative support, and key business decision-makers from around the globe.

The World FZO brings together free zones from across the world to promote their good effects by giving guidance, information, and services to its members to improve free zones’ contributions to the host nation’s economic prosperity and social development.

As a member of World FZO’s knowledge committee, the SPC Free Zone Director will provide his significant cross-sectoral experience to the organization’s intellectual base for economic free zone research and international trade laws.

Further, he will be in charge of a range of responsibilities involving communication with international organizations, private sector associations, multinational corporations, and industry and financial sector members from the global investment community.

The integrated ecosystem of the free zone, which is home to companies representing a wide range of publishing, printing, and related businesses, provides a better investment environment, several competitive advantages, a world-class infrastructure, and several cost-effective options to support publishers and other businesses and improve their access to international markets.

Furthermore, the SPC Free Zone, which was founded in 2017 as the world’s first printing and publishing free zone, has positioned itself as a value-driven organization that helps publishers thrive and expand into new markets.
