The second edition of the Space Debris Conference, organized by the Saudi Space Agency (SSA), is set to kick off in Riyadh on 26th January, Bringing together experts, decision-makers, and representatives from 75 countries worldwide.
The Space Debris Conference is part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to unify international initiatives addressing the growing challenges of space debris and to promote the sustainable use of outer space as a shared resource for humanity. The two-day event will convene global leaders from governments, international organizations, and specialized companies in the space sector.
Held with the support of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Space Debris Conference underscores the importance of international cooperation.

A key highlight is the ‘DebriSolver‘ competition, an international platform promoting applied innovation in space debris mitigation, where expert judges assess solutions against rigorous scientific and technical standards to support their transition from research to real-world deployment.
