The Abu Dhabi Government Services ecosystem (TAMM) has initiated the second phase of its digital payment platform ‘Abu Dhabi Pay.’

The second phase is initiated by allowing the Abu Dhabi residents and citizens to use the digital wallet ‘payit’ for completing digital government services and transactions through the Abu Dhabi government services platform.

TAMM, in collaboration with the First Abu Dhabi Bank will allow all the members of the society with a Valid Emirates ID to use ‘payit’ to make easy and simple digital transactions for any governmental services through their smartphones.

Payit has gained huge popularity since its launch in 2018, with more than 180,000 people in the country using the platform for conducting transactions and witnessing a tremendous hike in its growth with over 500 new users every day.

The wallet service is in line with the Abu Dhabi government’s mission to create an advanced digital transformation and aids to eliminate cash transactions and encourage digital payment in the UAE.

Abu Dhabi Pay’s current phase works to speed up the impact of digital transformation and ensure secure, convenient, simple and unified services for Abu Dhabi residents and business communities.
