UAE and Turkey discuss bilateral cooperation

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, have discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation within the framework of the two countries’ Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

The two sides reaffirmed their strong commitment to deepening UAE–Turkey relations, emphasizing the expansion of cooperation across key areas, particularly in the economic and development sectors, to support sustainable growth and advance the strategic ambitions of both nations.

According to the reports, the call also addressed the UAE’s participation in SAHA Expo 2026, the international defense and aerospace exhibition being held in Istanbul, and the exhibition’s role in advancing international cooperation in these sectors.

Furthermore, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Erdoğan also reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly developments in the Middle East and their serious implications for regional and international security and stability.

UAE–Turkey Relations

The United Arab Emirates and Turkey share a multifaceted relationship that spans diplomacy, trade, investment, and cultural exchange.

In recent years, both countries have worked to strengthen bilateral ties, focusing on economic partnerships, infrastructure projects, renewable energy, and development cooperation.

The UAE is one of Turkey’s key investors in sectors such as real estate, finance, and technology, while Turkey provides strategic collaboration opportunities in trade, tourism, and industrial development.

Beyond economic ties, the UAE and Turkey have collaborated on regional stability, security, and humanitarian initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to constructive engagement despite past fluctuations in their political alignment.
