UAE MoHAP welcomes Lebanese delegation to discuss healthcare

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has received a high-level government delegation from Lebanon as part of the Lebanese Executive Leadership Program, organized by the Government Experience Exchange Office operating under the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

The visit was arranged to enhance communication and knowledge sharing between government systems, providing an opportunity to explore the MoHAP’s institutional best practices in healthcare. It also aimed to generate ideas and solutions that will help strengthen the healthcare system in the friendly Republic of Lebanon.

During the visit, MoHAP shared leading experiences and global best practices adopted by the UAE in the fields of public health, health regulation, and healthcare development.

The Lebanese delegation was informed about the Ministry’s initiatives to develop health policies, improve governance of the healthcare system, and foster better integration between federal and local entities, all aimed at supporting the sector’s readiness and long-term sustainability.

MoHAP also highlighted key digital transformation projects and innovative strategies in healthcare services, alongside major national initiatives focused on strengthening community prevention, improving the efficiency of responses to health challenges, and adopting a proactive approach to enhance the overall quality of life.

The meeting included an open discussion session, providing the Lebanese delegation with the opportunity to exchange views on ways to develop government operations, build healthcare leadership capacities, improve institutional coordination, and learn from the UAE’s experiences in strategic health planning, change management, and boosting government performance efficiency.

The delegation was also briefed on the UAE’s experience in establishing a global system for organ and tissue donation and transplantation, as well as the country’s national efforts to strengthen future preparedness and improve responses to global health challenges.

Members of the Lebanese delegation, which featured representatives from multiple government entities, including the Prime Minister’s Office and several ministries and official institutions, lauded the Emirati healthcare model.

They commended the country’s digital infrastructure, flexible legislation, and advanced quality systems, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and visits to establish a collaborative international environment for building a better health future for societies.
