The United Arab Emirates and Serbia have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral economic cooperation under the UAE–Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) during high-level talks in Abu Dhabi.

UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received HE Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, who is on a working visit to the UAE, in a high-level meeting that underscored a shared commitment to advancing trade, investment flows, and strategic economic collaboration between the two countries.

Both sides highlighted the CEPA framework as a key enabler for unlocking new growth opportunities across priority sectors, reinforcing long-term economic resilience and diversification goals.

The UAE and Serbia have steadily strengthened bilateral ties in recent years, with increasing engagement across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and technology.

Beyond economic collaboration, the talks addressed pressing regional developments, particularly the ongoing military escalation and its implications for global security and stability. Both leaders expressed concern over the deteriorating security environment and its potential to disrupt economic progress and international peace.

The meeting also highlighted continued attacks attributed to Iran targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, including strikes on civilians, infrastructure, and vital facilities. These actions were described as violations of sovereignty and international law.
