UAE’s du & Intel unite to enable digital transformation of organizations

du, the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) has unveiled a new plan to prototype and launch an innovative solution for the leading telecom provider’s 5G Standalone (SA) private network.

According to the statement, these innovation-focused initiatives will be bolstered by a strategic partnership with Intel, which will provide critical technologies such as Intel’s FlexRAN software, Intel Smart Edge Open, Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit, and the next-generation Intel Xeon D CPU, among others.

The new enterprise connectivity solution, which will feature a RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) and a cost-effective open source 5G core network, is designed to help du’s enterprise and government customers lower their total cost of ownership and speed the digitization process.

Further, it will provide unprecedented levels of security required in Industry 4.0, smart city, smart transportation, hospitals, and other segments primed to benefit from transformative 5G effects.
