UAE-based master developer Nakheel has awarded a contract to Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) for infrastructure work and the construction of 620 residences at Murooj Al Furjan master development.
Under the agreement, Dubai-based vertically integrated construction conglomerate Al Shafar will be complete the work on villas, townhouses and associated infrastructure at the new community in 2024.
The luxurious new community Murooj Al Furjan, launched in May 2021, is close to Al Furjan’s retail Pavilion, community club and Dubai Metro station, as per the statement from Nakheel.
Following the high demand of Murooj Al Furjan, last September, Nakheel launched a sister community, Murooj Al Furjan West. The construction contract is currently out of tender, the developer said in its statement.
Nakheel’s Al Furjan, which covers 560 hectares and is currently home to about 30,000 people, is one of the largest and most popular mixed-use developments. The 4 and 5 bedroom villas are set between elaborate green spaces, beautiful walkways, swimming pools, jogging tracks, sports courts and a wealth of amenities including shaded play areas.
Set within the centralized area of Al Furjan within Dubai, which offers easy access to major highways and metros. At the same time, the area is easily accessible from Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and is in proximity to Ibn Batuta Mall and Discovery Gardens.
