Sharjah Police has implemented a package of economic facilitation measures and decisions approved by the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) to support economic activities and strengthen the emirate’s investment environment.
The package introduces financial exemptions and fee reductions designed to ease the burden on companies and economic establishments. The measures will remain in effect for three months from the date the decision comes into force.
Among the key incentives introduced under the package are a 50 percent reduction in fees for renewing security permits for commercial activities, a 50 percent reduction in subscription fees for Sharjah Police security systems, and a 50 percent reduction in violations and fines registered against economic establishments.
The package also provides a 20 percent reduction in mandatory training program fees for companies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Program, as part of broader efforts to reduce operating costs and support business continuity.
In addition, the package introduces a range of exemptions and regulatory exceptions aimed at enhancing operational flexibility for key sectors. These include exempting the transport sector from fees for issuing commercial license certificates, waiving the vehicle age limit and comprehensive inspection requirements for vehicles belonging to rental companies, educational institutes and schools, and companies operating leased buses, helping ease regulatory requirements for eligible operators.
The measures also provide a one-year exemption from traffic code-related violations, with the option to pay the remaining fines in instalments after the exemption period. They waive late registration penalties for vehicles with registrations expired for no more than one year and allow heavy vehicles to continue operating during restricted periods for projects, subject to prior approval.
