The Urban Planning and Permits Centre (UPPC), part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has signed a partnership agreement with Eagle Hills to support the development of community-focused destinations across Abu Dhabi.
The collaboration aims to activate selected development areas through a range of public and community-oriented initiatives designed to enhance liveability, encourage social interaction, and strengthen the overall urban experience across the emirate.
Under the partnership, the two entities will work on activating public spaces, waterfront areas, and mixed-use developments through cultural programs, seasonal events, sports and wellness activities, entrepreneurship initiatives, family-oriented experiences, and other public realm activations.
The initiative is intended to support the transformation of development areas into integrated destinations that contribute to tourism activity, economic engagement, and community well-being.
As part of the agreement, the Department of Municipalities and Transport and Eagle Hills will jointly explore opportunities to introduce experiences and activities that improve the usability and attractiveness of public spaces and encourage greater community participation.
