Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has announced its ongoing efforts to coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the smooth operation of flights from neighboring countries’ carriers through the Kingdom’s airports.

This initiative, in line with leadership directives and under current exceptional circumstances, aims to maintain regional air navigation continuity and deliver efficient passenger services.

Saudi Arabia’s airports continue to operate at high efficiency, regularly receiving flights from regional carriers while maintaining optimal operational readiness.

The Kingdom is ensuring the seamless facilitation of all necessary procedures, strengthening its position as a key regional aviation hub. These efforts not only support the smooth movement of travelers but also reinforce Saudi Arabia’s vital role in regional air connectivity during these exceptional circumstances.

According to the statement, Saudi airports have handled more than 120 flights for neighboring countries’ carriers between February 28 and March 16, including Qatar Airways, Kuwait Airways, Gulf Air, Jazeera Airways, and Iraqi Airways, with coordination to operate additional flights to return passengers to their destinations.

The GACA continues to work closely with relevant authorities to ensure seamless air navigation and uninterrupted services. Further, the GACA emphasizes that Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector is supported by state-of-the-art operational infrastructure and comprehensive logistical capabilities. This sophisticated framework allows the Kingdom’s airports and air traffic control systems to efficiently handle increased flight volumes.

“By leveraging cutting-edge technology and streamlined processes, Saudi Arabia ensures the safe, smooth, and timely accommodation of additional air traffic, all while upholding the highest global standards for safety, security, and operational efficiency,” as per the reports.
