Mubadala Bio has launched a new range of hemodialysis products through its subsidiary Wellpharma, becoming the first company to manufacture hemodialysis concentrate solutions locally in the UAE.
The launch includes eight hospital-grade hemodialysis concentrate solutions for use in dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure. The products are manufactured at Wellpharma’s facility in Abu Dhabi.
Hemodialysis is used to treat patients whose kidneys are unable to effectively remove waste products and excess fluids from the blood. During the treatment, dialysis concentrate solutions help maintain electrolyte balance and support the removal of toxins.

Hamad Almarzooqi, Group Deputy CEO of Mubadala Bio, added that strengthening local pharmaceutical manufacturing supports the UAE’s objective of developing its life sciences sector and expanding domestic production capabilities.
Mubadala Bio stated that the launch comes as chronic kidney disease continues to increase globally and across the region, with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity remaining among the major contributing factors.
According to the company, manufacturing the products locally will help hospitals and dialysis centers maintain access to hemodialysis solutions while supporting the resilience of the UAE’s healthcare supply chain.
The hemodialysis concentrate solutions are produced at Wellpharma’s manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi and are designed to meet hospital requirements for dialysis treatment.
