HE Dr Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (Abu Dhabi DOE) and Board Member of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), has conducted a field visit to key energy and water sites and strategic infrastructure projects across the emirate.

The Chairman of Abu Dhabi DOE was accompanied by HE Eng Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Energy, and HE Abdulaziz Mohammed Alhammadi, Director General of Regulatory Affairs, along with senior officials and strategic partners, including Jasim Husain Thabet, Group CEO and Managing Director of TAQA, and Farid Al Awlaqi, CEO of TAQA’s Generation Business.

The visit led by Abu Dhabi DoE covered key stations, strategic projects, critical control rooms, and major operational facilities, where the Chairman reviewed core operational processes, production management systems, and advanced technologies and innovations specifically designed to enhance overall efficiency, system resilience, and long-term supply reliability across Abu Dhabi’s energy and water network.

HE Dr Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan also received comprehensive briefings from frontline teams on operational procedures, risk management protocols, and approved safety standards, ensuring seamless service continuity at the highest levels while supporting Abu Dhabi’s long-term sustainability and energy and water security goals.

Abu Dhabi DoE Chief commended teams across facilities for maintaining uninterrupted service and strong supply security, underscoring their critical role in upholding operational excellence, system resilience, and the consistent delivery of essential utilities.

The visit is part of the Abu Dhabi DoE’s ongoing efforts to monitor facility performance and adopt best practices, strengthening system reliability and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s leadership in resource efficiency and sustainability.
