ADIO funds FreshToHome’s expansion in Abu Dhabi

World’s largest fully integrated online brand in fresh fish and meat eCommerce, FreshToHome will get financial and non-financial support from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to establish advanced ventures in Abu Dhabi.

The new ventures by the eCommerce platform is aimed to enhance the potential of Agriculture Technology (AgTech) sector in the emirate. FreshToHome will invest in next-generation aquaculture and agricultural solutions that are aimed at promoting food production in arid and desert climates.

ADIO’s incentives will allow research and technology advancement to extend established capabilities in the AgTech ecosystem in Abu Dhabi and foster industry innovation to address global food security challenges.

ADIO has also collaborated independently with two other UAE-based AgTech firms, Pure Harvest and Nanoracks, in addition to FreshToHome. The three companies that has partnered with ADIO will receive financial support worth $41 million (AED 152 million) to expand their operations in the Abu Dhabi region and tap into the Abu Dhabi’s innovation ecosystem and reliable infrastructure, enabling regulations to drive cutting-edge innovation across the entire agriculture value chain.

The latest collaborations are a continuation of ADIO’s efforts through the AgTech Incentive Program to accelerate the development of the Abu Dhabi AgTech ecosystem.
