Etihad Airways and Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, have signed an interline agreement that will connect the two airlines’ networks, providing Etihad passengers with access to 20 destinations across Nigeria, West Africa, and Central Africa.
Under the agreement, Etihad customers will be able to book a single ticket beyond Lagos and Accra onto Air Peace’s domestic and regional network.
The partnership covers major Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Benin City, Owerri, Warri, and Asaba. It also extends connectivity to destinations across West and Central Africa, including Abidjan, Dakar, Banjul, Freetown, Monrovia, Conakry, Bamako, Douala, and Libreville.
The agreement supports Etihad Airways’ expansion in Africa following its announcement in April of a new daily service between Abu Dhabi and Lagos.
Once the service begins, passengers traveling with Etihad will be able to continue their journeys to destinations served by Air Peace under a single itinerary.
The airline stated that the partnership will expand its network in Nigeria and improve connectivity across the region through Air Peace’s domestic and regional operations.
Growing connectivity
Nigeria is Africa’s most populous country and one of its largest economies. Trade and business links between the UAE and Nigeria have grown following the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in January 2026. The UAE is also home to a large Nigerian community.

The interline agreement will offer passengers more travel options between the UAE, Nigeria, and destinations across West and Central Africa through a single booking.
