Etihad Credit Bureau (ECB) has expanded the scope of its credit reports by including Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) account information from leading providers Tabby and Tamara, effective July 2026.

The update reflects the increasing use of BNPL services in the UAE and is intended to provide lenders and authorized entities with a broader view of consumers’ financial commitments when assessing creditworthiness.

The inclusion applies to both existing and new customers of Tabby and Tamara in the UAE and covers relevant historical BNPL transactions.

According to ECB, the additional data will support more informed lending decisions, improve risk assessment, and help bring more consumers, including those with limited traditional credit histories, into the formal credit ecosystem.
