Ajman promotes “Business from Home” with its “Reyada” Program

Ajman’s Department of Economic Development (DED) has opened all economic activities for those wishing to register in the “Reyada” Program for the conduct of economic activities from home provided that conditions are met for each activity.

The first of its kind program in the emirate of Ajman, “Reyada” Program targets UAE males and females from the emirate and enables the conduct of all activities from home. The Program has already reached 115 registrations since its launch in March.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Director of Planning & Business Development said that economic activities were expanded for “Reyada” members after being restricted to 120 activities with the aim to meeting customer needs, enhancing national entrepreneurship and increasing Emiratis’ contribution into the economic activity, reducing expenses on license holder who is exempted from the requirement for a place of business which is replaced by his/her place of abode and limiting unlicensed business doing.

Registrations in the program are available through DED’s website ajmanded(dot)ae and smart application Ajmanded. The license can also be issued through customer happiness centers, including Tas-Heel Hajes’ Center, Tasheel Tawasul Center Tasheel Information Center, Tasheel IQC Center in addition to DED’s branches in Masfout and Manama.

Licensing requires that the applicant is residing in the emirate of Ajman and live in a home owned or leased by him/her or otherwise reside with a first-degree relative. The place of abode must also meet public safety and health conditions and observe the aesthetic view. Work permits are not issued in order to encourage license holders to conduct the activity directly.
