Ajman Transport Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with e& to strengthen collaboration in digital innovation and artificial intelligence, supporting the continued development of the emirate’s transport ecosystem and corporate services.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 3rd Annual Government Cybersecurity Summit 2026 by Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi, Acting Director General of Ajman Transport Authority, and Saood Karmostaje, Acting Chief Executive Officer – Government and VIP Segment, representing e&.
The MoU aims to leverage advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and service quality through the exploration of agentic AI applications. The initiative will support back-office functions, including the automation of human resources and finance processes, employee inquiry management, leave and payroll administration, and financial reporting.
The agreement also covers the development and assessment of AI-powered solutions for bus route planning and scheduling through the analysis of operational and passenger data. The initiative is expected to improve fleet efficiency, strengthen capacity planning, and support the delivery of more flexible and sustainable transport services.
In addition, the partnership includes the use of artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies for video and behavioral analysis to support passenger flow monitoring, enhance compliance with safety standards, improve crowd management, and strengthen operational oversight across transport facilities and networks.
Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi, Acting Director General of Ajman Transport Authority, said the agreement marks a strategic step in accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies across the transport sector, reinforcing the Authority’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and service quality through AI.
He added that the partnership will help create a more agile and innovative operating environment through smart planning, data analytics and improved user experiences, while supporting the development of national AI capabilities and advancing Ajman’s vision for smart and sustainable government services.
