The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has launched its AI Academy, a specialized training initiative aimed at developing artificial intelligence (AI) skills through practical learning programs for individuals and organizations.
The Academy has been established to help participants understand AI tools and apply them effectively and responsibly in the workplace as the use of AI continues to expand across industries.
According to BIBF, AI skills are becoming increasingly relevant across a range of sectors, including financial services, insurance, business, human resources, marketing, operations, risk management, and leadership.
The AI Academy brings together BIBF’s AI-related programs under one platform, offering professional certifications, executive education, advanced courses, and customized corporate training solutions.
The programs are designed for learners with different levels of experience, covering AI fundamentals, business applications, advanced AI topics, executive and board-level education, and organization-specific training.
BIBF stated that the Academy builds on its experience in AI education. Since 2022, the institute has trained more than 3,000 participants and delivered over 45 programs related to artificial intelligence.

Afnan AlSaleh, Acting Head of the Centre for Digital Transformation and Project Management at BIBF, stated that the Academy has been designed with a practical approach that focuses on real-world applications, hands-on exercises, and the use of AI tools. The programs also include topics related to AI governance, risk management, technology ethics, transparency, and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
AlSaleh added that the Academy offers flexible training programs that can be customized to meet the needs of individual organizations. The objective is to help participants apply AI in their work while supporting responsible adoption of the technology.
The Academy facilitates structured AI learning and helps organizations and professionals keep pace with the growing use of artificial intelligence in the labor market.
The initiative will provide practical learning opportunities through training programs, certifications, executive education, and corporate solutions to support the adoption of AI across different sectors.
