Arabian Mills Company for Food Products has signed two strategic agreements worth a combined $19 million (SAR 71.2 million) with Switzerland-based industrial technology firm Bühler AG to implement expansion projects aimed at strengthening its milling and feed production capabilities across Saudi Arabia.
The agreements form part of the Saudi-listed company’s broader strategy to significantly enhance production capacity in response to rising demand for flour and feed products within the Kingdom.
The projects will involve the supply of advanced milling equipment as well as the development of technical designs for new and upgraded milling facilities.
Under the contracts, Bühler AG will serve as the primary equipment supplier while also overseeing key aspects of project implementation. The Swiss company, widely recognized for its expertise in food processing and industrial technologies, will provide technical supervision to ensure the projects are delivered according to international standards.
New milling facilities in Riyadh
A central component of the expansion plan is the establishment of a new flour mill in Riyadh with a production capacity of 800 tonnes per day. In addition, the company will build a new feed mill at the same location with a daily production capacity of 400 tonnes.
These facilities are expected to play a key role in strengthening Arabian Mills’ supply capabilities, enabling the company to better meet the growing needs of the domestic food and agricultural sectors.
Alongside the development of new facilities, the company will also upgrade its existing flour mill in Hail. The modernization project will enhance the mill’s capacity to produce 150 tonnes per day, contributing to improved operational efficiency and expanded output.
The expansion initiative underscores Arabian Mills’ commitment to strengthening food production infrastructure and supporting the Kingdom’s broader efforts to enhance food security and industrial development.
By investing in advanced milling technologies and expanding its operational footprint, the company aims to reinforce its market position while aligning its growth strategy with increasing demand for high-quality flour and feed products across Saudi Arabia.
