Bahrain’s Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has launched its official WhatsApp channel as part of efforts to boost public awareness of government eServices.
The initiative is designed to provide subscribers with timely updates and the latest information on digital government services.
The launch of the WhatsApp channel reflects the Information & eGovernment Authority’s ongoing commitment to advancing digital transformation and enhancing public engagement through integrated digital communication platforms.
By leveraging multiple digital channels, the authority aims to ensure faster, more accessible, and more effective dissemination of information, while strengthening interaction with citizens and residents across Bahrain’s growing digital ecosystem.
Furthermore, the initiative is designed to enhance public engagement, improve access to information, and ensure users remain continuously updated on the latest developments in government services.
iGA urges public to join WhatsApp channel
The Authority stated that individuals can join its official WhatsApp channel by scanning the QR code available on its official social media accounts (@igabahrain) and website.
According to the statement, the iGA has called on citizens and residents to subscribe to its new WhatsApp channel to stay consistently updated on the latest government services and announcements. It also encouraged users to make full use of its other digital platforms, including the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Portal and the MyGov app available via bahrain.bh/apps, to access a wider range of eServices.
“For further information, citizens and residents may contact the Government Services Contact Center on 80008001 or submit enquiries, suggestions, and complaints through the national Suggestions and Complaints System, ‘Tawasul,’ via its platform or mobile application,” iGA noted.
