The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain has introduced a new self-service eKiosk at the Capital Municipality Council in Tubli as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts.
The initiative reflects the ongoing collaboration and partnership between the Information & eGovernment Authority and the Capital Municipality Council, aimed at providing an easily accessible location for citizens and residents in support of the Kingdom’s digital initiatives.
The self-service eKiosk enables users to update ID card chip information, including residential address details, as well as view chip data through an integrated ID card reader.
It also allows users to register for the Government Notifications Service, which provides official notifications electronically via SMS or email, with the option to view notifications directly through the eService platform.
The iGA noted that the introduction of the eKiosk aligns with its efforts to expand digital service channels and accelerate digital transformation, offering citizens and residents a faster and more convenient way to access government services and complete transactions without the need to visit traditional service counters.
eKiosk locations
Self-service eKiosks are available at several locations across the Kingdom, including the Information & eGovernment Authority’s headquarters in Isa Town, which operates around the clock, the iGA branch at Seef Mall Muharraq, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, the post office at Bahrain Mall, the General Directorate of Traffic in Wadi Al Sail, the Social Insurance Organisation, and most recently the Capital Municipality Council in Tubli.
Details on eKiosk locations and operating hours are available on the National Portal, and through the iGA’s official social media accounts.
