Core Laboratories Inc. has opened its new ‘Unconventional Core Analysis Laboratory’ in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, marking a key milestone in its efforts to meet the evolving needs of the energy sector.
Developed in collaboration with its partner Abdulla Fouad Group, the cutting-edge facility features advanced proprietary instrumentation to provide comprehensive core and fluid analysis services tailored to unconventional reservoirs.
By introducing Core Lab’s pioneering technologies in the region, the facility aims to deliver in-depth insights into unconventional reservoir properties, thereby assisting the operator in enhancing the appraisal, development, and production of these unconventional fields.

With advanced proprietary instrumentation, senior scientists can perform enhanced petrophysical analysis and digital rock characterization by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and analytical techniques such as dual energy CT-scanning, high-frequency Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (“NMR”), and Core’s proprietary PRISM™ workflow.
These services provide clients with detailed reservoir rock and fluid characterization, facilitating informed decision-making throughout the appraisal, development, and production lifecycle.
