Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) will host a major side event at the 25th Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25), at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

This event, taking place from August 31 to September 3, will serve as a dynamic platform to showcase regulatory innovation, as well as the future of digital regulation and emerging technologies. Saeed AlGhamdi, CST Assistant Deputy Governor for Corporate Communications and Marketing. The side event will officially commence on August 31 with the launch of the ‘Media Oasis’, in partnership with the Ministry of Media.

CST Assistant Deputy Governor for Corporate Communications and Marketing Saeed AlGhamdi emphasized that the event reflects CST’s commitment to global engagement and international collaboration, offering a dynamic platform to showcase regulatory innovation and share insights on the future of digital regulation and emerging technologies.

This interactive space will feature pavilions that highlight major government projects from Saudi Arabia, as well as innovations in regulatory technologies (RegTech). The oasis will host both local and international companies specializing in telecommunications, space, and technology. It will also spotlight success stories from Saudi AI startups and feature the Sync Digital Balance initiative, which will offer dialogue sessions focused on digital well-being.

On September 2, TEDxRiyadh sessions will begin, adding another exciting dimension to the event. These sessions will showcase powerful personal stories, exploring the human impact of technological advancements, particularly in fields such as AI and technology. Additionally, a series of expert-led panel discussions will explore critical regulatory themes, including the future of AI in the 6G era, the governance of quantum technologies, and the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks to support global connectivity.

The event will also highlight outcomes from SpaceUp, a CST initiative that focuses on space-based solutions to address challenges across various sectors. Through this side event, CST aims to further strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for digital innovation and regulatory excellence.

The event aligns with the Kingdom’s broader goals of promoting long-term digital sustainability, advancing next-generation infrastructure, and empowering technologies that foster global connectivity. As a result, this event reinforces Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in technology, regulation, and innovation on the world stage.
