King Abdulaziz University to host Digital Communication Conference

King Abdulaziz University (KAU), represented by the Faculty of Communication and Media, will organize the Digital Communication Conference from April 29 to May 1, 2025, at the King Faisal Convention Center in Jeddah.

The Digital Communication Conference aims to strengthen integration between academic institutions in communication and media and professional entities and practitioners in the field while exploring the future of media in the digital communication era.

Digital Communication Conference will feature the participation of 140 researchers from 56 universities across 12 countries, in addition to experts in corporate communication and digital marketing from major companies, as well as communication officials from various government entities.

This year’s edition will include 10-panel discussions addressing topics such as the future of communication and media education in the digital age, the role of government communication during crises, the impact of artificial intelligence on media, the influence of technological innovation on content creation, and the challenges facing media and journalistic institutions in the digital environment.

The conference will also offer 10 workshops focused on key professional practices in digital media, the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the media landscape, effective communication strategies across digital platforms, and techniques for influencing public opinion in the digital age.

Vice President of King Abdulaziz University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Amin Yousef Noaman stated that the conference reflects the university’s commitment to keeping pace with digital transformations in communication and its related fields, while promoting the exchange of expertise between researchers and practitioners.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Dr. Ayman Bajnaid emphasized that the conference seeks to reposition communication and media disciplines amid the ongoing wave of digitalization and to highlight the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities.
