The latest edition of the world’s largest and longest-running annual shopping and entertainment event the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), has unveiled a breath-taking DSF Drone Light Show for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The innovative partnership between Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), organizers of DSF and the global technology leader Intel has led the path for DSF Drone Light Show.
The entertainment, shopping and tourism extravaganza has proven to be an ideal platform to host the stunning and unique aerial performance, which takes place twice a night in the skies above landmark destinations including The Beach opposite JBR, Bluewaters and the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort and has been amazing both residents and visitors since December 17, 2020, and will continue until 30 January 2021.
Each performance has 300 drones that flys in a perfectly choreographed pattern to create a high-tech 3D animation. Running for 45 days in a row with 90 shows across the 26th edition of the festival, the DSF Drone Light Show is officially the longest consecutively held performance of its kind in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
The first Drone Light Show, titled ‘Dubai, A City of Adventure’, shows how much is there in Dubai to explore, with favorite cartoon characters Modesh and Dana embarking on a fun expedition to discover what the city has to offer.
The second performance, named ‘Dubai, From the Past to the Present’, shows the city’s journey from old to new, where it began and where it is headed into and is performed alongside the official DSF song, ‘Dubai Kawkab Aakhar’ which translates to ‘Dubai is another planet’.
The DSF Drone Light Show is the latest addition in a series of innovative and advanced Intel Drone Light Shows that have created history with record-breaking, one-of-a-kind performances on some of the world’s biggest stages.
