Smart Dubai, a digital approach committed to transform Dubai into a smart city has announced the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber) as the latest entity to join Government Resource Planning Systems (GRPS), which is already in use by over 73,000 employees in the emirate across 70 government departments.
As of July 1st, Dubai Chamber officials and staff have gained access to more than 40 smart systems and applications through GRPS, which offers an integrated bundle of secure, standardized, central solutions. By streamlining operations, reducing costs, and saving time, the system will help the chamber to increase productivity and efficiency.
Participating entities can use the systems to manage all essential internal government activities in the financial, logistics, and human resources sectors, including salary, recruiting, financial transactions, supply chain management, and asset management.

The systems also make tasks to be handled more easily and efficiently for tens of thousands of employees.”

With this in mind, bringing the chamber on board in implementing GRPS was the ideal step taken by them, which will impact not only its operations but also those of its members, ultimately benefitting the emirate’s economy as a whole.

GRPS allows Dubai Chamber employees to access the Smart Employee application and its array of human resources services. The newly redesigned Smart Employee application, which allows users to access several employee self-services and purchasing requests at any time and from any location, benefits more than 66,000 employees from 60 government organizations.
