The Dubai Financial Audit Authority has organized roundtable sessions with representatives of entities under its oversight to foster dialogue and a participatory approach that helps address employees’ workplace challenges.

The sessions provided an open and direct dialogue platform, allowing participants to highlight challenges across various areas of work and share real-world experiences. This helped build a deeper understanding of these challenges and their impact on institutional performance.

Discussions focused on key themes reflecting the diverse work and recurring challenges of audited entities. These included the implementation of the Corporate Governance Manual for government entities in Dubai, investment process best practices, digital transformation drivers and controls, and risks associated with construction projects and procurement.

Other topics covered internal controls over revenue collection, HR issues, reporting mechanisms, fraud investigations, leasing activities, supply chain disruptions, and compliance with certain rules and legislation. The sessions by Dubai Financial Audit Authority offered an interactive space for participants to propose practical solutions and recommendations, turning dialogue into actionable outcomes that enhance institutional efficiency.

Additionally, the roundtables strengthened coordination among audited entities and promoted the consistent application of systems and legislation, reinforcing governance, accountability, and institutional stability.

These initiatives form part of the Dubai Financial Audit Authority’s vision to support audited entities, help them address challenges effectively, and foster a work environment grounded in transparency, collaboration, and sustainable impact.

“Roundtable sessions form part of an institutional approach adopted by the Dubai Financial Audit Authority to strengthen effective partnerships with entities subject to its oversight and to entrench dialogue based on a shared understanding of practical challenges and ways to address them within the approved regulatory and legislative frameworks. We believe that developing the oversight system cannot be achieved in isolation from real-world practice; rather, it requires directly listening to on-the-ground experiences and translating them into practical, actionable solutions that enhance the quality of institutional performance. The most effective solutions stem from the active participation of employees themselves, as partners in development.”

HE Al Hareb added that, “Through these sessions, the Dubai Financial Audit Authority reaffirms its commitment to supporting entities subject to its oversight and enabling them to address challenges efficiently, while embedding the principles of governance, accountability and transparency, thereby achieving a sustainable institutional impact in line with the aspirations of the Government of Dubai.”
