Dubai Police, represented by Jebel Ali and Al Barsha Police Stations, has hosted a high-level panel discussion aimed at strengthening road safety and labor area security across the emirate.
The session, titled ‘Forecasting the Future of Road Safety and Labor Area Security in Dubai’, brought together senior officials and key public and private sector partners to foster collaboration and innovative solutions for contemporary security challenges.
The event was attended by Brigadier Rashid Saleh Al Shehhi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police Stations for Bur Dubai Police Stations Affairs, Colonel Jamal Ibrahim Ali, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, and Colonel Yousef Thani bin Qaba, Acting Director of Al Barsha Police Station. Representatives from strategic government entities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, the Traffic Prosecution, the Labor Committee, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), and the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, also participated.
Brigadier Rashid Saleh Al Shehhi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police Stations for Bur Dubai Police Stations Affairs said that, “Dubai Police is committed to creating a secure and sustainable environment within labor communities by deepening partnerships across sectors. Modern threats, such as digital fraud and narcotics, necessitate proactive strategies rooted in innovation and community awareness. Our focus is on evolving communication channels with the labor workforce and prioritizing prevention in all field operations.”
Brigadier Al Shehhi further stated that the positive engagement seen during the session reflects a shared responsibility that enhances the security system’s responsiveness, ensuring Dubai remains a premier global destination for living and working.
Key themes of discussion
The session facilitated a comprehensive dialogue across five pivotal themes:
- Combating digital fraud
- Preventing drug proliferation
- Enhancing community wellbeing
- Eliminating bureaucracy
- Reducing run-over accidents to improve overall road safety
Experts from Dubai Police departments, including Traffic, Criminal Investigation, Anti-Narcotics, and Human Rights, participated alongside prominent private sector partners, such as Dubai Holding, Dubai Industrial City, Dubai Investment Park, SK Company, Dutco Construction Group, Hosni Group of Companies, Barakat Quality Plus, Wade Adams Contracting, and Beta Logistics.
The initiative underscores Dubai Police’s ongoing strategy to strengthen institutional integration between government and private entities, leveraging collaboration and innovation to future-proof road safety and labor area security across the emirate.
