Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened the door to expanding licenses for new technical vehicle testing and registration centers in three key locations across the emirate: Deira, Bur Dubai, and Mohammed Bin Rashid City, in line with approved regulatory standards and requirements.

The move creates new investment opportunities, allowing existing centers, and investors looking to enter this vital sector, to apply to establish new facilities or open additional branches.

It aims to expand RTA’s network of service centers for vehicle testing and registration, bringing services closer to residents across the emirate. The expansion responds to rapid urban and population growth, as well as increasing commercial and investment activity across Dubai, while ensuring the sustainable and efficient delivery of licensing services.

The initiative also aligns with RTA’s strategy to strengthen public-private partnerships, supporting economic growth, increasing private sector participation in infrastructure and service delivery, and adopting global best practices.

RTA will support new investors by evaluating applications in line with relevant legislation and policies, reinforcing private sector involvement in developing vehicle testing and registration services, improving inspection efficiency, and enhancing road safety.

The expansion advances RTA’s efforts to build an integrated infrastructure for vehicle testing and licensing, supporting Dubai’s goals to improve road safety, enhance mobility, and elevate service quality for residents.

The number of approved vehicle testing and licensing service centers in Dubai has reached 29, distributed across the emirate. These centers are equipped with advanced technologies and qualified personnel to deliver high-quality services that meet customer needs and align with international standards, while offering a seamless experience in line with Dubai’s drive for streamlined procedures and more efficient government services.
