Dubai-based corporate and retail financial institution, Commercial Bank International (CBI) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with IESE Business School in Spain to support the professional development of its Emirati talent.

IESE is one of the world’s leading business schools and its executive education programs are frequently ranked as number one worldwide.

IESE is renowned for its trailblazing approach to leadership development. By signing this international MoC, CBI officially acknowledges IESE’s ability to provide CBI employees with quality training.

According to the statement, CBI hopes to further empower its employees and support the development of key competencies that can help accelerate their journey toward leadership by aligning with an institution that offers essential training related to business, management, and leadership.

Mr. Ali Sultan Rakkad Al Amri, Chief Executive Officer of CBI, said that, “We’re delighted to sign this MoC with IESE. We always strive to support the professional development of our CBI Family and the MoC is a testament to this. It also reinforces our commitment to developing Emirati talent in line with our Emiratization initiatives.”

“We’re proud to be able to partner with IESE and offer our employees the opportunity to further develop their skills with the support of a globally leading institution and the stellar programs they provide. We look forward to a fruitful partnership working together to develop our future leaders,” Mr. Al Amri added.

Before the official MoC signing, CBI worked with IESE in supporting the Bank’s senior Emirati talents to successfully graduate from IESE’s Program for Management Development (PMD).

Prof. Frank Heukamp, IESE Dean commented that, “Business leaders play a crucial role as they lead teams and make strategic decisions that not only improve their companies but also have a positive impact on society.”

“At IESE, we take pride in our responsibility to accompany those leaders along their journeys of professional and personal growth. I thank CBI for their confidence in us and look forward to an exciting collaboration with them as we help shape executives who’ll make a purposeful mark on the United Arab Emirates,” Prof. Heukamp added.
