EDGE Group and Spain’s EM&E Group have signed an agreement to explore the establishment of a UAE-based joint venture, underpinned by a commercial pipeline valued at approximately $1.5 billion.

The agreement was formalized at EM&E Group’s headquarters in a ceremony attended by the UAE Ambassador to Spain, Saleh Ahmad Salem Alzaraim Alsuwaidi, with Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, and Fernando Fernández, CEO of EM&E Group, signing the accord.

Under the framework, EM&E Group will provide the latest technology in advanced remote weapon stations to the UAE and international markets.

The agreement also lays the groundwork for co-development of additional defense systems through the proposed UAE-based joint venture.

The future company is expected to establish a highly skilled workforce across sales, engineering, and program management, creating high-value employment opportunities in advanced defense technologies while enabling the co-development of new systems and the adaptation of existing ones.
