EDGE and Leonardo have detailed further plans to establish a Joint Venture (JV) that will develop, commercialize, manufacture and support some of the world’s most advanced defense sensors and systems, in line with their previously announced collaboration roadmap.
The proposed JV will focus on a range of defense capabilities, including airborne radars for next-generation stealth platforms, the Kronos Grand Mobile High-Power (HP) radar, Combat Management Systems (CMS), and Multi-Mission Aircraft Sensors.
The venture will also serve as a commercial platform to promote and market the M-346 fighter/trainer aircraft and other defense capabilities across European and international markets.
By combining the technological expertise, industrial capabilities and international market access of both companies, the JV aims to strengthen its position in the global defense sector and support customers in Europe and other markets with integrated defense solutions.
