Emirates has reinforced its global travel retail strategy with the opening of its 10th flagship Emirates World Store in Abidjan, the economic capital and largest city of Côte d’Ivoire.

The move brings the total number of Emirates World Stores to 10, alongside 9 mid-sized travel retail outlets worldwide. The airline has invested $47.4 million (AED 174 million) to expand its retail footprint and plans to introduce 29 additional travel retail concepts in 2026, aiming for a total of 48 stores by year-end.

Emirates World Stores combine personalized service, expert consultation, and iconic onboard products with cutting-edge immersive technologies. Since the launch in 2024, the stores have welcomed over 1.4 million walk-in customers, highlighting their growing role in the travel planning journey.

“As we accelerate the global rollout of our Emirates World Stores concept, we are creating opportunities for travelers and our partners to engage with our brand, explore our products, and experience cutting-edge technology. Each store is designed to help customers effortlessly plan their journeys and discover our latest offerings, truly enabling them to ‘fly better. ’”

The first Emirates World Store opened in Dubai in November 2022, spanning 3,000 square feet and showcasing the airline’s signature products alongside immersive technologies.

The Dubai flagship became the blueprint for the airline’s global expansion, leading to openings in London, Nairobi, Casablanca, Manila, Cairo, Singapore, Bangkok, and Riyadh. Mid-sized concept stores were launched in Paris, Karachi, Hong Kong, Accra, Geneva, Mauritius, and Jakarta, with additional locations planned for 2026, including Athens, Rome, Madrid, Istanbul, Amman, New Delhi, Mumbai, Shenzhen, Tokyo, and Cape Town.

Each store is uniquely designed to reflect local preferences and market trends. Dubai features a hub for industry networking, while London, Singapore, Riyadh, and Cairo showcase first-class cabin displays.

Casablanca, Hong Kong, and London offer Premium Economy experiences, and Cairo and London feature the iconic A380 onboard lounge. The Abidjan store includes an A380 lounge and a Business Class seat display, reinforcing Emirates’ premium positioning.

Emirates World Stores integrate digital self-service kiosks and interactive features, such as selfie mirrors that allow customers to capture memories against destination-themed backdrops. Each location offers curated, destination-specific Emirates-branded collections and premium travel accessories, designed to elevate the travel experience.
