Emirates NBD honored for its Robotic Process Automation program

Dubai government-owned bank, Emirates NBD has been recognized as the Best Process Automation Implementation, at The Asian Banker Financial Technology Innovation Awards 2020.

The award is a top global honor for Emirates NBD for implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) program to mitigate the risk involved in its journey towards paperless administration, process efficiency and building customer experience.

The bank has been successful in implementing the automation that is unique in the Middle East with over 100 RPA solutions deployed across retail, corporate and compliance functions.

Being an early adopter of digitalization and innovation in the banking sector, Emirates NBD has invested nearly $272 million over three years to digitalize customer interactions and processes. The bank has implemented agile development by building an in-house team of RPA developers, testers, engineers, architects and analysts.

‘The Asian Banker Financial Technology Innovation Awards’ initiated in 2006 is a program designed to recognize annual achievement as well as identify emerging best practices in the implementation of technology in banking operations. The award evaluates both project implementation and sustainable business impact and its identities best examples of cooperation between financial institutions and their strategic IT service providers.
