Indian firm Nazara to acquire majority stake in Middle Eastern game publisher Publishme

One of the leading game publishing agency, Arrakis Tanitim Organizasyon Pazarlama (Publishme) is selling its majority stake to India-based diversified gaming and sports media company, Nazara Technologies for around $2 million.

According to the company statement, “Nazara will buy a 69.82 percent stake by way of primary and secondary transactions through its subsidiary.”

Publishme is a full-service games marketing and publishing company with a strong presence in Turkey and the Middle East and North Africa. Nazara’s services are already available in India and across emerging and developed global markets such as Africa and North America.

“With this acquisition, Nazara expands its international footprint in the freemium segment. Nazara will aim to build local execution capabilities cutting across key growth segments namely, freemium, gamified learning, and esports,” as per the company.
