The Invest Bank has launched the ‘Sharjah Inspired Design Challenge’, inviting artists, designers, and creatives across the UAE to craft an enduring icon that reflects the Emirate’s cultural legacy.
The Sharjah Inspired Design Challenge encourages participants to blend Sharjah’s rich heritage with modern design. Entrants are tasked with creating a contemporary icon inspired by the Emirate’s historical architecture, calligraphy, and cultural landmarks.
The winning design at Sharjah Inspired Design Challenge will receive a cash prize of $13,615 (AED 50,000) and will become a central visual element of Invest Bank’s future branding. Submissions are open until August 22, 2025.

Designers are also encouraged to optionally incorporate Arabic calligraphy in an abstract or minimalistic style to further reflect Sharjah’s cultural identity. The initiative reaffirms the bank’s dedication to cultural preservation and innovation, aiming to forge a timeless visual symbol that captures the essence of Sharjah’s past and future.
Requirements for submission:
Original icon or emblem design (flat or 3D, abstract or literal, creativity is key).
A short paragraph (max 150 words) explaining the concept, symbolism, and inspiration behind your design.
Final submission must include:
Open source files (.AI/PSD/.EPS)
High-resolution PNG & JPEG versions
Black & white version
Any supporting mockups (optional but encouraged)
