The Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar (IPA Qatar) has entered into a partnership with Qatar Research Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council to accelerate the development of the RDI ecosystem and strengthen new opportunities for foreign investments in this strategic field.

According to the statement, the two organizations have pledged to leverage their experience and synergies to attract innovative businesses to Qatar and support their RDI activities as part of the national strategy to further grow the innovation and research ecosystem and boost the country’s international competitiveness.

This joint collaboration intends to give investors wider access to Qatar’s attractive RDI opportunities in a variety of sectors, as well as to accelerate the country’s transformation to a knowledge-based economy characterized by innovation, as outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.

Further, IPA Qatar will work closely with QRDI Council to connect foreign businesses to relevant government agencies, local businesses, and knowledge institutions, as well as provide them access to research and development (R&D) opportunities across different sectors.
