Sidra Medicine and Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, both members of the Qatar Foundation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of integrated wellness and preventive healthcare programs in Qatar.
The partnership combines clinical expertise with wellness services to support individuals and families through a range of health, lifestyle, and preventive care initiatives.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will explore opportunities to introduce wellness-focused programs supported by clinical oversight, alongside lifestyle and nutrition initiatives, diagnostic and preventive health services, and professional education and training programs.
The collaboration will also focus on developing personalized wellness, therapeutic, and lifestyle enhancement treatments.
As the world’s first wellness resort dedicated to Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM), Zulal Wellness Resort will contribute its expertise in holistic wellness practices, while Sidra Medicine will provide advanced medical services and therapies.
The partnership seeks to integrate traditional healing principles with evidence-based healthcare approaches to support overall well-being.
Mohammed Khalid Al Mana, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Governors at Sidra Medicine, said that the collaboration represents an important step in bringing together clinical excellence and wellness innovation.
Al Mana noted that the partnership will support the delivery of comprehensive and personalized care experiences designed to enhance the well-being of patients and families.
The first phase of the initiative will form part of the expansion of Sidra Medicine’s Women’s Services. Planned offerings include postpartum recovery programs, mental health and preventive health services, wellness education initiatives, referral pathways, and in-hospital wellness services.
Ammar Samad, General Manager of Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing wellness and preventive healthcare through a holistic and evidence-based approach.
Samad added that the collaboration is aligned with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, which places strong emphasis on improving healthcare outcomes and promoting healthier lifestyles.
The agreement establishes a framework for long-term cooperation between the two organizations, with a focus on advancing wellness, recovery, and preventive healthcare services.
It also supports efforts to encourage innovation across both the medical and wellness sectors while contributing to the development of integrated healthcare solutions in Qatar.
